About Uplift Solutions:
UpLift Solutions, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been developed using a supermarket model created by Jeffrey Brown, President and CEO of Brown's Super Stores, Inc. The concept can be adapted to a community's specific needs and UpLift Solutions would help implement its program in underserved markets across the country. By creating synergies between government agencies, non-profits and businesses, UpLift would provide consultation support and technical assistance to utilize all of their various resources to improve ‘at-risk' communities.

The program includes improving the availability of fresh food by establishing new or renovated grocery stores in under-served areas, increasing access of food and pharmaceutical goods via delivery for the homebound and expanding community development in these areas coordinated through the newly opened supermarket businesses. UpLift Solutions would provide guidance to the community utilizing our ‘best practices' to assist in addressing community challenges. Providing access to fresh food has shown indications of improving the surrounding neighborhoods where this model has opened, as well as providing job opportunities for many living within the community. It is presumed that positive health benefits will result as well, due to the improved availability, quality and affordability of fresh food that was not previously available in these areas.
